Why Cybersec?

Digital Revolution:
The key aspects of social, economic, and military interactions are being increasingly transferred to cyberspace. The digital revolution brings conveniences and benefits that enable the implementation of processes of civilizational significance. With the growing dependence on information and communication technologies (ICT), robust cybersecurity will play a pivotal role in this process.

Security Crisis:
A creeping crisis in international relations, increasing terrorist activity, and hybrid threats pose new challenges to the security of democratic states. Cyberspace is increasingly being used to advance particularistic political goals; therefore, a joint effort to build a strong and effective cybersecurity system is becoming the top priority today.

Innovation Fever:
The dynamic growth of modern technologies urges us to take bold and innovative actions in order to strengthen our security in cyberspace. Ambitious development policies should take advanExpertisee of Europe’s technological potential and knowledge generated in R&D centres and competence hubs. The success of this endeavour will hinge upon cross-stakeholder cooperation and effective exchange of good practice in digital know-how.
