Cyber Threat Intelligence State of the Art
Brussels, Thursday January 14th, LSEC gathered a group of cyber security experts focused on the domain of Cyber Threat Intelligence, Cyber Threat detection and management. The increasing number of cyber security incidents challenge not only the systems, but also the people and the resources of organizations. International information exchanges, both commercial and open source initiatives such as the IBM X Force exchange and the ACDC CTI exist to provide cyber threat intelligence to experts and cyber threat intel communities. With cyber threat intel experts such as the recently acquired Fox-IT indicating the variations of cyber threat intelligence, technology providers such as RedSocks - both collecting data and executing analysis - respecting European data protection regulations. Threat Intel platform provider EclecticIQ put the challenges of managing threat intel, and the use of technologies to support internal and external threat intelligence. Both challenges and solutions were presented. A more provactive Symantec provided insights into some of the challenges related to different open sources platforms, the relevance and the business value of cyber threat intelligence for an organization.
